Smart Business 101

Keys To A Smart Business

You don’t have to be “lucky” to experience the personal freedom and financial success you’re looking for.

“When it comes to the future, there are three kinds of people: those who let it happen, those who make it happen, and those who wonder what happened.”
~ John M. Richardson, Jr.

Which ONE are you going to be?

  • A fun business that really works.
  • Reliable income from a proven program.
  • Step-by-step training and support.
  • A business you can work PT or FT.
  • RISK-FREE Money Back Guarantee.

If you can understand the following 6 concepts and incorporate them into your home business, you will have the potential for success beyond your wildest imagination…..

Concept #1 – Market Position

Position yourself in front of a “Huge Expanding Market” by identifying the fastest growing industries:

Working From Home – $401 Billion Dollar Industry.

Internet Marketing – exceeds $523 Billion according
to a study done by the McCombs School of Business
and is expected to reach 7 Trillion within the next 3

Mail Order Marketing – $350 Billion Dollar Industry
and growing.

Wellness Industry – $200 Billion Dollar Industry and
expected to reach $1 Trillion within 10 years.

Nutrition Industry – $4.2 Billion Dollar Industry and

Weight Control Industry – $33 Billion Dollar Industry
fueled by epidemic size obesity levels. An estimated
70% of the U.S. population needs to lose 10 – 50

Personal Care Industry – $72 Billion Dollar Industry.

Cosmetics Industry – $8 Billion Dollar Industry – and
steadily growing

Concept #2: Market an “Exclusive, Consumable” product

A consumable product is one that people use, and replace regularly. What that amounts to for the one providing the service or product is repeat business, repeat purchases, and a daily cash flow.

The ideal home business is one that offers consumable products or services in such a way that after your initial effort is done; repeat orders, sales, and commissions come to you for the rest of your life.

Any consumable product is not enough. It has to be in high demand. It also has to be unique, exclusive and not readily available in stores.

A great example of a consumable product isTHISone

Concept #3: Take advantage of “Large, Enduring Trends”

A “Market Trend” is really an economic movement, meaning that large masses of people’s spending habits are moving in a uniform direction.

History shows that those who identify these trends early and are able to meet the needs of these trends are able to create abundant wealth for themselves.

The key is to know the wants and needs of large consumer groups. ‘Who are they?’, and ‘what do they want?’

Current research shows, that what most people want out of life is feeding the current market trends:

• Owning Their Own Business
• Having Tax Advantages
• Being Financially Independent
• Being Healthy
• Having A Rewarding Career
• Owning Their Own Home
• Looking & Feeling Younger
• Improving Their Lifestyle
• Losing Weight
• Traveling

Concept #4: Leverage your time

Leverage allows us, as entrepreneurs, to build a successful business, part time, around our busy lifestyle.

In essence, leveraging our time allows us to get more done in a shorter period of time with less effort.

This concept applied in business means you can accomplish more than you could normally accomplish on your own.

Imagine developing a business part-time that wouldn’t interrupt your present circumstances, and provide you a flow of income
while you spend time with your family, travel, go to the beach, or even sleep!

That’s the power of leverage.

An excellent example of a business that will help you to leverage your time isTHISone.

Concept #5: Product Fulfillment

Another key element is the ability to service your customers at a reasonable cost while maintaining reliability.

With the power of the Internet, this has become more important than ever before.

Our suppliers have an international network of dozens of warehouses in many countries. This allows your customers to receive products shipped to them on your behalf. There is also a support structure and customer relations’ hotline that your consumer group can call to have product related questions answered. This allows you to focus on your marketing efforts so you can work part time and earn a full-time income.

Concept #6: Business Structure

What is required to make a business successful:

• Sales
• Marketing
• Accounting
• Administration
• Product Development
• Order Fulfillment
• Product Delivery
• Taxes
• Customer Support
• Automation
• Data Management
• Staffing
• Training
• Attorneys

Always work with a product that you like and believe in, but that product should also have one or more of the following characteristics:

Broad appeal – Ideally, every man, woman, or
household either wants or needs it.
Exclusivity – The product or comparable products
should not be available in stores. The only way the customer can get it is through you.
Emotion – The product should significantly enhance or
change the customer’s life.
Easy to use
Competitively priced
Money-back guarantee
Readily available

A business that provides one or more of these needs is likely to do well.

What do you suppose would happen if your business provided for all of these?

You would have a potential gold mine!

What Are the 3 Most Effective Ingredients for Achieving Success?

The 3 Most Effective Ingredients For Achieving Success

As a sales and marketing professional, you’re probably constantly looking for just the right ingredients to achieve success in your business.

While there’s no magic recipe that will work for everyone, there are in fact 3 effective and fundamental ingredients that you can use as your guide for success in this new year…..

Let’s break down these 3 effective BUT simple ingredients:

Ingredient 1 – TIME

Everything takes time and, whether we realize it or not, we make conscious decisions about how we spend our time and on what activities.

In sales, it is critical to use the limited time you have as productively as possible and not waste your energy — especially on doing low-yielding tasks.

  • Action – Divide your day or week into parts by breaking them into these essential activities:
  • Prospecting time:
  • Schedule time with yourself to prospect and make new connections.
  • Internal and External Meetings:
  • Meetings can go one of two ways. They are either extremely productive and helpful or they are a complete waste of time with you leaving the meeting having gained no valuable information.
  • Researching leads and new opportunities:
  • This is a critical activity that all sales reps should be doing before making any first connection, but without the proper tools and resources, it can be extremely challenging and time-consuming to find the correct person with the information you’re seeking.
  • Personal Development:
  • Take the time to understand what you’re interested in and what you enjoy doing in your free time. Make a commitment to learning by signing up for free webinars, online classes, and networking events.
  • When you focus on learning, by expanding your horizons and gaining new perspectives, it will enable you to have a clearer focus on the direction you want to take both your career and personal life.
  • Account Management:
  • Don’t forget to dedicate parts of your day/week/month to staying in front of your existing customers. Why? Because they are one of your greatest assets when it comes to collecting feedback for improvement and renewal business.

Ingredient 2 – Testing

If you’re not testing, then chances are you’re doing the same old thing day after day.

What sales activities you should be testing?

Processes: This is a combination of the various tactics salespeople use to reach their target audience.

Content Creation: As part of your Personal Marketing strategy, you should be creating quality content with the goal of building your network of followers and positioning yourself as a subject matter expert.

Consistency: When it comes to building your presence on and offline, consistency is key.

Ingredient 3 – Tenacity

Tenacity is a quality that comes from within. It’s the personal drive that moves you forward when everything else is saying stop. It’s having the determination and perseverance to get the job done, no matter the circumstances.

Developing and utilizing your tenacity is based on how you perceive something and if you’re willing to accept it.

Here are 3 ways you can shift your mindset the next time you’re not feeling so tenacious:

Focus on educating, not selling:  It’s not about you, your company, your products, or your services, it’s about meeting customer needs and adding value.

Use questions to redirect the conversation:  Questions like: What are you willing to spend? Are you the decision maker? Who is your competition?

Practice one more call every day:  For instance, practice making one more call, sending one more email, or finishing up one more blog post. Whatever it is, make a habit of doing one more opportunity generating activity at the end of every day and over time it’ll become the norm.

At the end of the day….

If you want to consistently keep your pipeline full of quality opportunities while positioning your own credibility and subject matter expertise, then you should consider this simple recipe for success in 2017: Time, Testing, and Tenacity.

Selling is a complex process, but Time, Testing, and Tenacity are simple, effective ingredients for achieving success in it.

Here are 2 tips that will help you to have a winning attitude and a wealthy mindset that will protect your mind from negativity so you can have prosperity in your life:

  • As you journey toward success, you will connect with people who will open up doors of knowledge and opportunity for you and help you establish a wealthy mindset.
  • Be open-minded and grateful for these experiences, but always trust your gut.
  • Don’t allow yourself to bend to the will of someone else if it goes against your instincts.
  • We are all given one of the most precious gifts of all: intuition.
  • You must develop the courage to use your gut level intuition.

  • Sometimes it’s best to resist the urge to share your excitement about what you are doing.
  • People may not react the way you would hope, and you may feel deflated.
  • Disappointing reactions from people can undercut your enthusiasm.
  • Work diligently to build up your self-confidence and self-esteem and simply refuse to have your feelings hurt.
  • If necessary, keep your positive energy inside, where it does the most good.
  • Instead of gushing about yourself, show genuine interest in the lives of others, with confidence that you are on the right path for you.
  • Have you ever looked back on an event in your life and thought: “Why did I let that person make me doubt myself?”

wealthymindset2To help you maintain that wealthy mindset, you must keep a safe distance from people in your life who don’t believe in you.  Work towards strengthening yourself emotionally, building that wealthy mindset and remember that someone’s opinion of you doesn’t have to be your reality.

You must embrace your own mind, your own taste, your own style, and your own passions. When the way you feel about yourself is unaffected by the way others feel about you, a power shift occurs.

Your confidence will RADIATE and those around you will FEEL it.

You will become UNSTOPPABLE.

Let your victories and failures be on your OWN terms, and learn and grow from both.

Above all……..ENJOY THE RIDE!

How Can You Become an Entrepreneur Today Here’s What You Need To Know

So, you want to become an entrepreneur?

whystartbusinessHow do you become an entrepreneur?

You haven’t got a clue……You are NOT alone…….I didn’t either 😉  About 5 years ago now, I decided to quit my job…….did not have a plan as to what I wanted, did not write my goals down, did not have a strategy, just “winged” it and hoped for success……am I successful, NOPE, not even close, and do you know why?  It is because I did not have a GOAL or some kind of PLAN right from the beginning.

So, why am I telling you this? Because I do not want YOU to make the same mistake I did and not have some kind of goal or plan BEFORE you begin your journey as an entrepreneur 😉

For me I went into this entrepreneurial dream thinking, all that I need to do is to invest in some training, implement what I learn and like magic, I was gonna start making money…….what do you think happened?  I invested, and I learned some strategies,  and I thought I could do it “alone”, but I soon came to realize that, you need other people (those that have what you want NOW) to guide you, to help you, to teach you and support you on how to get to where you want to go.

Trust me when I say that you really REALLY have to want it, to have that UNRELENTING DESIRE TO SUCCEED and HELP OTHERS.  I know MUCH better now 😉

Do you have the passion and drive and the UNRELENTING DESIRE to succeed?  If not then entrepreneurship is NOT for you, because it takes consistency, persistence and most importantly the passion to HELP OTHERS……

Today, there are so many paths now to starting a business than ever before, and thanks to technology, the barriers to entry have never been LOWER to start as an entrepreneur.

How Do People Become Entrepreneurs Today?

Businesses can now exist in a variety of forms that just weren’t possible before. So naturally, people are starting them for a variety of reasons. What about you? Why do YOU want to start your own business?

Below you will find just 7 of the intrinsic motivations/reasons that lead people down the path of entrepreneurship.  For you it might be a combination of the following reasons that inspire you to start your own business:

Reason #1 – Build a business around selling products and proving value.

  • Many entrepreneurs identify an opportunity and then capitalize on it.
  • If there’s demand, they become the one with the supply.
  • All you need is to be passionate about business, competition, and creating systems that create value, either as a side business or something that replaces your 9 to 5.

Reason #2- Build a business around information and empowerment.

  • The “infopreneur” is typically a teacher who sells information via courses, templates and other resources usually geared towards educating and empowering their audience.

Reason #3- Build an audience and then build a business around it.

  • Today, creators—writers, vloggers, musicians—build audiences around their talents and cleverly create businesses around them with merchandise, book sales etc.

Reason #4- Build a business around your craft.

  • The maker applies a specific craft they’ve honed in order to create physical products.
  • Usually a hobby or a past time, they’ve learned how to unearth niche audiences with an interest in owning what they create—whether necklaces, hand-crafted furniture, or scented candles.
  • This often starts out as a hobby before you find your first customers and decide to become an entrepreneur.

Reason #5 -Build a business around providing services.

  • This group includes agencies, consultants, freelancers and people with skills or expertise that others need.
  • They might start off alone, only able to make money when they work, but they can develop into more if they want.

Reason #6 – Build a business around a better way of doing things.

  • There are always needs and pain points that have yet to be satisfied.
  • This is the story behind many tech company founders trying to realize their vision of a better way.
  • It can also be built around a product or service that you want that simply doesn’t exist.
  • Not yet.

Reason #7 – Build a business around social responsibility.

  • Some entrepreneurs use business as a means of creating a sustainable living that improves the quality of lives through social enterprise.
  • Outside of profit, the value they seek to create is for those in need.

Did you know that there are at least TWO things that ALL entrepreneurs have in common:

Ambition and They Start.

The Step By Step Method To Become Anything You Want To Be

How to Get Everything You Want in Life and Become Anything You Want To Be

Can you REALLY become anything you want to be?

Is it really something you can accomplish?

Can anyone really get everything they want from life?

What does that even mean?

When you compare most people you’ll find that everyone has very different goals and very different aims. Some of us are trying to change the world, others are just want to settle down and be healthy and happy with a loving family. But for a huge number of goals, you’ll find that the same kinds of principles apply time and time again.

Learn how to build your foundation for success HERE

There’s a step by step ‘formula’ you can apply to any aspect of your life in order to achieve the things you want to achieve and to be a success – and I’m going to share that formula with you in this post.

Ready to start living the life you always wanted?

#1 – The MOST Important FIRST Step In Getting What You Want Is Knowing What You Want

  • This is something that all too often gets overlooked and all too often it’s assumed that we already have this.
  • What if you don’t know what you want from life?
  • What if you have lots of different interests that are all pulling you in different directions?
  • What you need to do then is to prioritize and you need to look for the things you can get from life that will make you happiest
  • Let’s look at some of the ways you can do that…
  • Look for the Common Themes
  • Very often, what this comes down to is identifying the commonalities in your dreams and objectives.
  • In other words, if you want to be twenty things, then what do those twenty things have in common?
  • The Five Whys
  • Another way to get to the bottom of what it is you really want and to discover why you want it is to use the ‘five whys’ technique.
  • Here, you ask yourself the question ‘why’ five times in a row in order to dig deeper and deeper into your motivations.
  • Look to Your Role Models
  • Another way to find out what it is you really want is to look at your role models and to see what it is about them that you admire.
  • What parts of their lives would you like to emulate?
  • Again: what do they have in common?

So don’t just think about what you think will make you happy….imagine the day-to-day result of achieving your goals and whether that makes you happy too.

There’s a lot that makes up a happy and healthy individual…..for example:

  • Physiological & Safety Needs (like food, sex, safety, shelter)
  • Love/belonging & Self Esteem(like love, belong and self-confidence)
  • Self-Actualization (which relates to your accomplishments and your ability to feel as though you’re contributing something, creating something, doing something that matters.

You can’t change all these things at once so you will need to prioritize what you want out of life and you need to focus on one aspect of your lifestyle at a time 🙂

Here’s what you need to do right now…….Sit down with a piece of paper and a pen and hash out what you want from life, what makes you happy and what you can realistically change relatively easy about your current situation. Once you have that thing: ACT!!

Learn how to build your foundation for success HERE

#2 – Stop Waiting – Take Action Now

  • Now you have to actually start making things happen for yourself and that means taking small, positive steps toward achieving your new goals.
  • This is where most people go wrong.
  • Not because they go about achieving their goals in the wrong way (though this happens) but because they don’t go about it at all.
  • The big problem for many of us is that we’re seemingly ‘waiting’ for something to happen.
  • We’re happy to just go along with our current lifestyles which are ‘good enough’ rather than aim for something bigger and better.
  • Sometimes this comes down to fear.
  • Sometimes this comes down to thinking they have no other option.
  • Sometimes it comes down to believing that waiting is legitimately the best strategy for getting what they want.

#3 – Consider the Law of Attraction

  • This states that like attracts like and that if you act in a certain way, your life will change to match.
  • Act confident, dress well, look great and people start taking you more seriously.
  • Thus you start to get given more responsibility and your career improves.
  • Try a Technique Called Kaizen.
  • Essentially, kaizen means making lots of small changes in order to add up to big differences in your life. Kind of like the way you bring down a great oak with lots of small chops, or how you can walk a hundred miles by taking lots of small steps. In this scenario though, we’re talking about making lots of small tweaks to your lifestyle and your current situation in order to achieve massive things across the board.  It’s also a great exercise in self-discipline and if you can do this one thing then you’ll find it’s much easier to stick to your other goals.

Don’t be Afraid to be Different…….Too often we feel like we need to live a certain lifestyle in order to live up to what’s expected of us or to be ‘normal’. Just remember it is OKAY to be just the way you are……unique 🙂

#4- Try Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • This is essentially a framework that you can use to try and improve the way you think and to thereby improve a number of beliefs and behaviors.
  • This uses a combination of practicing, testing and assessing your own thoughts in order to attempt ‘cognitive restructuring’.
  • CBT also teaches mindfulness, which has a number of different applications.
  • One particularly interesting use for mindfulness though is to help increase your own sense of gratitude for what you already have.
  • This is very important – if you aren’t able to appreciate the things you have already and what you have already achieved, then you’ll find that nothing you accomplish brings you any closer to being happy and fulfilled.
  • So make sure you spend the time to think about the things you’re grateful for in life and the things that you’ve already done well.
  • Some people find small exercises like listing three things they’re really thankful for each morning can really help. (I write in my 5 minute journal daily)
  • Always remember that wherever you are right now in life – there are probably people who would love to be in your shoes.
  • While there are many different aspects to CBT, there is a basic process that most people can follow to start achieving more things and feeling more satisfied with their accomplishments:
  • Step 1: Mindfulness
  • The process starts by being mindful of your current thoughts and reflecting on what you currently think on a regular basis.
  • Which thoughts are destructive and potentially holding you back?
  • What can you do about that?
  • Mindfulness can be used as a form of meditation, while you can also use journaling which simply means writing down the thoughts as they come to you or at the end of the day.
  • Step 2: Thought Challenging
  • This is the process of challenging your beliefs and thoughts – just like we did with the fear setting process. Does your limiting belief really have any merit?
  • Step 3: Hypothesis Testing
  • Simply test your hypothesis.
  • Think you can’t speak in front of that crowd?
  • Think that you’ll get laughed at if you ask that woman/man out?
  • Then try it!
  • What you’ll find is that the reality is never as bad as you were worried it might be!
  • Step 4: Affirmations
  • Believe it or not, affirmations and mantras can work when they’re well chosen.
  • Repeat phrases that undermine the negative ruminations in your mind and eventually they can completely replace those beliefs.

keepmovingforward#5- Keep Moving Forward!

  • The key is to stop looking at things as so black and white and to look for alternative ways to achieve what you really want.
  • That means identifying what it is you really want out of life and it means coming up with a great strategy to help you get there.
  • It also means that you stop waiting until you retire or you win the lottery and you look at making as many changes as you can right now to get to where you want to be.
  • You won’t get everything you want from life right away of course.
  • But if you keep working at it you’ll be highly surprised by what you can accomplish. And what’s more, is that you’ll have the rewarding feeling of working towards something.
  • This is often what most of us want most of all – a feeling of forward progression.
  • As long as you’re working toward being a rock star, being the best health of your life, being the perfect family man/woman… then it’s not just a dream.
  • Having a plan and having a trajectory makes life that much better so it’s time to start making progress.

What Is The Biggest Mistake You Can Make In Your Business?

Do you know what the BIGGEST mistake you can make in your business is?

The biggest mistake most people make when they’re just starting out is believing that they have to do EVERYTHING themselves.

Is this you?

Do you feel you have to:

  • Drive Traffic

  • Make blog posts

  • Answer every email within 5 minutes

  • Give everyone and their brother your personal cell phone that they can call 24 hours per day

  • Create Products

  • Create Sales Copy

  • Build webpages

  • Find images for your posts

The problem is, you can’t possibly do all of that yourself.  Or, if you do, the results won’t be very good.

You see, to do something really well, you have to master it.

And that’s the trap.

Here’s what I mean:

Since you don’t know how to write sales copy, you convince yourself you can learn it.  So you buy 17 courses and start one.

But then everyone says you NEED to be doing Facebook ads.

So you buy 6 courses that teach you how to do that.  You start one and get 50% through when someone tells you that a single website is no longer enough… you need an entire sales funnel.

You rationalize that you need someplace to send people FIRST before you can buy ads… so you buy 12 different software programs that all promise to be the “easiest, most brain-dead way to build an entire sales funnel in 7 minutes or less!”

You start building your sales funnel when suddenly a huge marketer on Facebook tells everyone… “periscope is the next billion dollar traffic source.  But only if you get in right now!

So you buy his course and…

Months later you’ve accomplished nothing,  you haven’t added one subscriber to your email list and when your coach asks you how’s it going you whine that you have no money to buy paid traffic and no time to get anything done.

Does this sound familiar?

thinkaboutitThink about it this way:

When you watch a football game or a basketball game, what do you see?

You see a coach working with each player. He harnesses each player’s expertise to win the game.

So the important lesson for you to remember in your business is this……There are different players for different situations.

In football, they have special teams; they have a defense; they have an offense team. The coach orchestrates all of it to maximize the best of each player on every play. You never see the Quarterback trying to kick a field goal.  Could he learn to do it?

Probably.  But why would he when there is someone who already knows how to do that?

In your business stop trying to be the quarterback, kicker, wide receiver, and defensive line………

Be the coach.

Find the best people for every situation and guide them toward the goal line.

Fortunately for you, I am already part of a proven marketing system……That has already done a lot of the heavy lifting….writing the sales copy, building the sales funnels, optimizing conversions, etc. You will even have your very own coach, assigned especially to you, where they will help you to figure out what part you play…..Maybe you don’t have the money for paid ads.  Focus on writing articles or making videos. Whatever it is that YOU do best and spread the rest out.

See what I am already part of>>>> HERE!

You just have to step out on to the field and play your part.

But you MUST choose ONE THING that you can specialize at, because it will become the foundation upon which you build your financial fortress moving forward.

This Must-Have Skill is Needed IF You Want To Be Successful in Your Business

If you want to be successful in your business, you must learn this must-have skill now

I can’t tell you how often I see people give up just a little too soon…..They put their blood, sweat, and tears into a project and then let it go to move on to the next venture. If only they’d stuck with it a little longer.…..

So, can you guess what that much-needed skill to be successful in your business is?

The most important skill you need to develop to be successful in business is PATIENCE.

FREE EBOOK: The 5 Must-Have Traits You Need For Success

[tweet_box design=”default”]“Many of life’s failures are experienced by people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.”[/tweet_box]

What Is Patience In Business

  • It’s easy to say you need to be patient, but what exactly does this “Business Patience” mean.
  • It’s hard to pinpoint it since it is more of a mindset.
  • When you should be patient in your business will vary greatly.
  • What it doesn’t mean is that you can just sit on the couch and wait for good things to happen on their own.
  • It takes some time and effort. The patience part means sticking it out long enough to see if it’s working.

To help you wrap your head around this patience mindset concept, let’s take a look at a few different ways that being patient can help you in your business….

CLICK HERE FOR YOUR FREE EBOOK: The 5 Must-Have Traits You Need For Success

Patience To Figure Out What You Are Doing

  • It’s easy to get excited about a new venture and jump in with both feet first.
  • That enthusiasm is great, but it’s also good to give yourself some time to figure out what you are going to do.
  • Learn the ropes and read up as much as you can about your new project.
  • Take some time to plan things out and then get to work.
  • Taking that little bit of extra time, in the beginning, does take patience, but it will pay off in the long run.
  • Do you remember the first website you created for your business?
  • How many times did you have to go back and completely redo or redesign things as you learned about SEO, visitor-friendly navigation, and the likes?

How can you apply this idea of being patient with yourself to your own business?

  • After we implement new ideas and strategies, it often takes time to see results.
  • It’s easy to get impatient and think it’s not working.
  • We move on to the next new strategy and again giving up right before we start to see results.
  • I’m as guilty as you are of this.
  • In today’s fast paced world with plenty of instant gratification it’s hard to develop a mindset of waiting and giving things time to work.

SEO – Search Engine Optimization – is a perfect example of something that takes patience.

  • You read up on it or go through a course and start making changes to your site.
  • You optimize for keywords, build some links and get your page some social love.
  • You check back a few days later and you’re still ranking on page 4 of Google for your term, or even worse, you slipped down a few ranks.
  • It’s easy to get discouraged, isn’t it?
  • Here’s the key to making it work.
  • Stick with it and provided your SEO strategy (or anything else you’re working on) is solid, you will see some good results.
  • Sometimes those results come in tiny increments.
  • That’s why it’s important to track as many stats as you can in your business.
  • By tracking your website traffic, for example, you may start to notice a few more visitors each day to the post you optimized.
  • You may not rank on page one of Google for your chosen keyword (yet), but you may have moved up in ranking on some related long tail keywords and are getting more traffic via those search terms.
  • And getting more traffic the end goal anyway, right?

The 3 P’s of Business Success – Practice, Persistence, and Patience

It Starts With Practice……Lots and lots of practice.

  • You don’t get really good at what you do unless you have lots of practice.
  • What does this mean when it comes to your business?
  • It means you should start right now.
  • Write those blog posts, create those emails, and interact with your customers. Don’t wait to learn more, go through another course or have someone show you how they think it should be done.
  • Start where you are and practice what you know.
  • You can always implement other things later.
  • Keep practicing and you’ll start to get better at everything you do in your business.

Consistent Practice Leads To Persistence

  • Getting into a habit of practicing every single day will lead to a habit of persistence.
  • Persistence will help you stick it out and keep going when things are moving slowly.
  • Maybe your website traffic doesn’t grow as fast as you’d hoped.
  • Or, maybe you’re not getting the repeat clientele you were counting on.
  • When you’re already in the habit of practice and are persistently working away on your business day in and day out, you will see results, even if they aren’t apparent right away.
  • The key here is to keep going and not give up too soon.
  • Stick with the plan, keep practicing what you’ve set out to do and become persistent.

The Patience To Persistently Practice Will Pay Off

  • As time goes by, and you’re patiently sticking to your plan, something remarkable will start to happen.
  • Not only are you getting much better at what you do, it also becomes more effortless.
  • You’re in the habit of doing them and can get things done almost on autopilot.
  • More importantly, though, your patience and your efforts will start to pay off.
  • You’re attracting a wider audience, you’re building your customer base and most importantly you start to make enough money to pay the bills and then some.

And then there’s the little side benefit of becoming a more patient and more persistent person.

That’s something that will work to your advantage no matter where life takes you.

Do You Think You Were Meant to Be an Entrepreneur?

So, how can you tell if you were really meant to become an entrepreneur?

While being an entrepreneur comes with freedom and flexibility, there is also a great deal of responsibility and an even greater need for discipline.

With that said……..Being your own boss is not for everyone.

Here are 7 telltale signs as shared from Dan Scalco, (founder & director of growth at Digitalux) on whether or not you were cut out to be an entrepreneur:

1. You’re a self-starter.

  • Taking initiative is crucial when you are an entrepreneur
  • No one is standing over your shoulder telling you to get things done.
  • Vacation days don’t require a written request.
  • There’s nowhere to clock in or out.
  • Without extreme self-control and natural drive, work can fall to second to the many distractions of life.
  • Having a get-it-done personality could help you bring your vision to life more easily.

2. Passion is prevalent.

  • A blasé attitude is not associated with overwhelming success as an entrepreneur.
  • If you don’t genuinely love what you’re doing, it will be hard to overcome the inevitable obstacles.
  • Starting your own business is rarely an overnight success.
  • From lack of customers to profits, it’s not easy street.
  • Without an undeniable passion for the industry you’re entering, it will be difficult to stay afloat among the disappointments and hard times ahead.

3. You possess people skills.

  • While being a loner doesn’t rule you out as a potential entrepreneur, lacking social gumption could hinder your success.
  • Having people skills suggests that being an entrepreneur might be more realistic, since communication is a necessity in any business endeavor.
  • Without it, you could face difficulty forming partnerships, attracting customer and networking within your industry.

4. You’re not willing to take no for an answer.

  • Giving up easily is not a typical trait among entrepreneurs.
  • Securing your own success requires perseverance and the ability to be persuasive and think outside the box.
  • Not everything is going to go exactly as planned and people, permitting, laws and codes can quickly turn to roadblocks inhibiting your business from growing.
  • You need to possess the strength to try harder — or try other options — to overcome these obstacles.

5. You’re a creative thinker.

  • Creativity isn’t just a quality found in writers and artists.
  • It’s a common component of entrepreneurs as well.
  • Research identified that while just 47 percent of people are creative thinkers, the percentage jumps to more than three quarters when looking at entrepreneurs.
  • Since finding innovative ways to solve ordinary problems takes creative thinking, it’s actually not that shocking that the majority of entrepreneurs think differently.

6. You are competitive by nature.

  • There’s a reason some companies heavily recruit athletes for sales and business positions.
  • The desire to strategize and win translates perfectly into business.
  • If you played sports growing up or are the type that excels when faced with a little rivalry, you might just have what it takes to be an entrepreneur.
  • A competitive nature will force you to not just be better — but be the best.

7. You’re hardworking.

  • At the end of the day, those who are willing to put in the most work are usually the ones who reap the greatest reward.
  • If you’re the type of person that likes to skate by doing the bare minimum, the heavy workload of entrepreneurship will likely bury you.
  • Entrepreneurs aren’t afraid to wear more than one hat, work through the weekend or sacrifice for the success of their business.

As an entrepreneur your output is directly impacted by your input, and if you’re not willing to put in the time, your great idea will likely tank.
