Get Out Of Your Comfort Zone 3 Hard Things You Need to Do to Be Happy

3 Hard Things You Need to Do to Be Happy

What are the 3 hard things that you need to do to be happy?

It’s time for you to get out of your comfort zone and start doing the hard things to be happy in life.

The things no one else is doing.

The things that frighten you.

The things others can’t do for you.

The things that make you question how much longer you can hold on and push forward.

“Because those are the things that define you. Those are the things that make the difference between existing and living – between knowing the path and walking the path – between a life of mediocrity and a life filled with happiness and success”……says Marc and Angel

As you know, the hard things are often the easiest things to avoid….

  • To procrastinate.
  • To make excuses.
  • To pretend like they somehow don’t apply to you and your life situation.

The truth about how ordinary people achieve immense happiness and incredible feats of success is that they step out of their comfort zones and do the hard things that their more educated, affluent and qualified counterparts don’t have the courage, drive or determination to do.

Start doing the hard things TODAY.

You will be blown away at just how remarkable you really are and just how amazing life can be.

Here are the 3  hard things you need to start today:

1. You need to invest in yourself even when no one else is.

Prioritize your own needs into your daily to-dos.

Invest in your education, health, and happiness every single day.

Create a life that feels good on the inside, not one that just looks good on the outside to everyone else.

2. You need to deliver results, even when making excuses is easier.

NO shortcuts.

NO quick fixes.

NO blaming others.

NO “I’ll do it tomorrows.”

Just get started.

Quit talking and begin doing!

Laziness may appear attractive, but work leads to happiness.

3. You need to refrain from feeling sorry for yourself.

To those who are struggling….Keep pushing forward.

You’re not alone.

Realize that self-pity is not helpful.

Life is not about feeling sorry for yourself.

It’s about forgiveness, acceptance and looking forward to what makes you stronger and better off in the long run.

Just know that you are not alone…..I am right there with you, working hard on myself to feel better, think more clearly, and keep my life on track.

“If you want to be happy, don’t do something you don’t like. Don’t say something you don’t mean. Pretending and lying to yourself will only breed unhappiness.” ~Michael Lee

  1. Hey Joan,

Amazing stuff. Making excuses is very easy for everyone to easily quit from any kind of things. To feel happiness you need to work in positive direction for better feeling. And from my opinion, I feel happy when I get success in my work.
Many people have habit to blame other to feel happy but it completely wrong concept for feeling happy throughout life. Eventually, thanks for sharing your wonderful experience with us.

  2. I think the comfort zone should be called the “stuck” zone because most times there’s nothing comfortable about it other than being familiar and a place to stay stuck. You are right, though, to say that to be happy you need to get out of there, challenge yourself, decide you’re going to do what it takes to be happy, and don’t let anyone derail you. Thanks for the tips!

“It’s about forgiveness, acceptance and looking forward to what makes you stronger and better off in the long run.” I do love that

    Be your best YOU!

  4. Hi Joan,
I love this post. What I keep discovering is that the people who procrastinate, and those who just give up, are not willing to do the hard things. They seem to think there is an easy way. They say things like: “I don’t want to be stressed. If it’s stressful, I don’t want to do it”. “There has to be a better system.” “Just outsource it or just find a high school, or even middle school kid to help”. (Side note – there is no way a young kid could have helped me to create my summits and organize the affiliates, etc. I needed someone who is experienced with doing summits and working with the specific affiliate program to help me with that piece).

I love how you started by saying we need to do what other people won’t do. I realized that most therapists do not have the time or inclination to create summits and interview others and promote others. They are too focused on promoting their own practices. So I found a niche and I am loving the process – and I keep learning and I keep connecting with such hard working, dedicated professionals along the way.

    • Absolutely Donna! There is so much to be grateful for even if some people do not see it 🙂 Feeling sorry for yourself is always a “cop-out” and will not help you in any way 🙂

    • Hey Di,
No, you are right about that, there are never any quick fixes with anything lol 😉 Thank you for your wonderful comment 🙂 Always appreciated!

  5. Hello Joan,

    Great one 🙂
Often people are in their comfort zones and complaining that their lives are unfair to them. They are not being favored by the luck. Why they tend to forget a very old saying “Luck fortunes the brave”. People these days thinks things are going to come to them and ask for their acceptance. Huh harsh realities of the modern times. The time they spent in being their comfort zones, in that period they would have achieved something that they were really pleased to see that this is my achievement and I have worked hard as hell to achieve this.
The inner happiness is worth of millions that pretending others to see that one is the happiest among them. We are only our biggest competitors and we need to defeat our evil aspects rather than blaming on others.
    Thanks for the share 🙂
